RULES

1 • Respect

The Perch is here to provide a safe space for everyone, without toxicity or drama. Therefore, all players are expected to treat others with kindness and respect. Of course, light-hearted jokes are welcome. However, you may not flame, disrespect, harass, or post/say any inappropriate content. We have a zero-tolerance policy on slurs, even if stated jokingly.

Any form of hate speech, bigoted language, anti-semitism, or harassment towards any group/identity is not welcome. Attempts to cause conflict or harm are not tolerated by any means, this includes threats, even if jokingly. Using the word ‘’cult’’ to name a group you are in is not allowed, as cults generally have a very negative connotation.

This server is not a space for you to discuss any world events, religion or politics.

2 • Griefing and Stealing

You may not steal, destroy or modify any blocks, items or structures within an area owned by another player without their permission, including their builds and naturally generated terrain. This includes a 160-block radius around the edge of their claim.

NOTE: Any area that is griefed, modified or otherwise stolen from whilst the owner of this area has the capacity to claim it might not be rolled back. Punishment and the removal of gained items will still occur. This is at staff's discretion, depending on the situation.

PvP is a consensual thing on our server. If someone has their PvP enabled, this does not give you consent to kill them. Contraptions to intentionally harm other players are also strictly disallowed.

You may not prank other players. If you have a group of friends who like to mess with one another, that is completely fine. However, as soon as any behaviour is reported to staff, it will be treated equally under this rule as any other type of griefing would be.

3 • Cheating and Unfair Advantages

Using hacked clients, X-ray mods, X-ray texture packs, bugs, glitches, exploits or mods that give you an advantage over other players or anything else that is considered hacking is strictly prohibited.

Resource packs which outline ores are allowed, as are shaders which cause ores to emit light. However, no resource pack, shader pack, or mod can be used to make ores visible through blocks, water fog, and lava fog. This includes resource packs that change the shape or size of ores and client-side packs that reduce or remove fog, exposing them when they would normally be hidden.

Every click, press, or hold of a button must be performed by the player. You may not use an auto-clicker, disconnect your mouse, or use any object to press or hold a button. If we believe a player is hacking or auto-clicking, they will receive an in-game DM which they will have to respond to.

Allowed Mods:
• Sodium, Lithium and other performance mods.
• Render Distance Mods (Distant Horizons, etc)
• Litematica/Reacharound (including Easy Place)
• Just/Roughly enough items/item menu Mods
• MiniMap Mods (excluding cave-view)
• Fullbright Mods/Dynamic Lighting
• Chest/Inventory Sorters
• Legacy Freecam
• Zooming mods

If you want to use a mod, but are curious if it’s allowed, always feel free to ask.

4 • Exploits

An exploit is defined as the use of a bug, glitch, game system plugin, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner that was not intended by the game’s designers.

Any form of exploit is not allowed. The staff team reserve the right to determine what is and what is not an exploit at any time. If you are unsure if something is an exploit, always feel free to ask.

Duplicating items that are not in the ‘’exceptions’’ part of this rules section is strictly disallowed and will be met with an immediate permanent ban.

Chunk loaders are strictly disallowed to not cause any harm to our server in the means of performance.

Circumventing our AFK system in any way is considered an exploit.

🚨 EXCEPTIONS
• TNT duplication, to be used in perimeters, or for tree farms, etc.
• Duplicating Carpets, Rails and Tripwire Hooks.

5 • Farm Guidelines

Our staff team works hard to keep the server lag-free.

Our server isn’t strict on it’s farm-policy, nor is our view distance as small as other similar servers! We do all of this to keep the Minecraft experience in check, allowing farms of all kinds. To make sure farms do not excessively lag the server, we ask players to open tickets in our Discord when they pass the following limits:

Open a ticket if, within your view distance (10 chunks):
The amount of hoppers, furnaces, droppers, dispensers exceeds 200 (combined)
There are farms that produce a lot of block updates (pistons pushing blocks)
^ examples include moss farms, flower farms, cobblestone farms.
The amount of vehicle entities exceeds 36 (minecarts, boats)
The amount of animals and mobs exceeds 24
There is usage of repeating redstone clocks
There are nether portals inside of a farm

If a farm is made that goes beyond these limits without opening a ticket, we will contact players to reduce the impact of them. This can include safari-netting entities, temporarily disabling farms, and in worst case scenarios, removal. Removing a farm will never be done without contacting the owner of the farm first.

Please properlty optimise your creations. This includes locking hoppers using composters, using ice and water to transfer items where possible, and making sure that no excessive amounts of items or entities stack up in one place.

Our server has a menu specifically for players who are more aimed towards the technical part of the game. This includes any restrictions that we’ve put in place. Access it in-game through the ‘/technical’ command.

6 • Alternate Accounts

Only one alt account is allowed per player. They will be given a gray display name, and may be moved or kicked for any reason at any time if we deem the server too ‘laggy’ or space is required for other players. Alternate accounts do not have access to any server features but essential commands to assist in teleportation, these being: /tpahere, /tpadeny, /tpa, /tpaccept, /sethome, /home, /renamehome, /spawn.

Ban Evasion using alternate accounts is not allowed, and will be met with a permanent ban on the account used to evade the original ban.

Sharing of accounts, main or alternate between multiple players is strictly disallowed.

Alt accounts can not participate in any events or competitions.

7 • Chance-based Games

Casinos and other chance-based games are allowed on our server, but you are required to make the odds of the game public to any users of the games.

If you have been banned from our server and you feel this has been done unfairly, you can appeal on our Discord Server. Reporting players can be done through our Discord, too.
